Objectives

The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of work of partner organizations and their capacity to support young people in consciously shaping their career paths. We assume: 1. Creation of an online self-orientation tool that will help avoid typical mistakes made by young people in the labor market (G1, G2), 2. Development of modern educational content and video materials illustrating young people's mistakes and challenges, and showing solutions that can be applied to avoid these mistakes (G1, G2), 3. Support for adults (counselors, teachers, parents) through workshop scenarios based on the tools we have prepared (G3), 4. Expansion of the partner organizations' offerings and development of their competencies in managing international projects (G4, G5), 5. Strengthening international cooperation and promoting a "worst practices" approach as an innovative form of counseling (G5), 6. Reaching a wide audience of young people and engaging them through promotional activities and project ambassadors (G6).

Background

The project is based on observations of the difficulties young people face in the labor market. A need was identified to broaden education concerning navigating the labor market and understanding its operating principles at the European level, the necessity of making counseling more attractive and accessible, creating tools to facilitate self-analysis and self-assessment for young people, and enabling them to make conscious career decisions. The project also stems from the need to leverage international cooperation to build modern, accessible educational tools that address the real problems of youth in an open international labor market. The project addresses specific problems of young people (13-29 years old) in Poland and Bulgaria, including: lack of knowledge about the labor market and professional realities (information mainly obtained from friends and the internet), insufficient quality and limited access to career counseling, lack of competencies related to career planning, adapting to changes, or using technology in a professional context, a high level of mistakes when making educational and professional decisions (e.g., poorly chosen fields of study), difficulty adapting to changes in the market (e.g., AI, remote work)
