Objectives

1. Gathering knowledge and forming an expert pool The project aimed to bring together existing entrepreneurship knowledge and involve business mentors to address areas often overlooked, such as stress, administrative responsibilities, delegation and team management. 2. Creating a comprehensive manual and teaching base Another objective was to compile this knowledge into a single, accessible manual available on partner websites, designed for both young entrepreneurs and trainers seeking practical, structured materials. 3. Validating materials and defining the training method We aimed to work with a group of trainers to review and refine the content, ensuring clarity, usability and a consistent implementation method for different learning environments. 4. Testing the methodology with target groups Pilot trainings in Bulgaria and Poland (4 groups of 10 participants) were planned to gather feedback from young people interested in entrepreneurship and to improve the materials based on real user experience. 5. Disseminating results through partner networks The project aimed to share the final manual in three languages (EN, PL, BG) and promote it through partners

Background

We applied for the DE-MYTH project to address the growing gap between young people’s interest in entrepreneurship and their unrealistic expectations shaped by myths, social media success stories and stereotypes. Through our work with students and youth groups in Poland and Bulgaria, we observed that many young people were enthusiastic about starting their own initiatives but lacked understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges involved, such as fear of failure, stress, self-doubt, and the realities of teamwork. Existing entrepreneurship education focused mainly on business tools and planning, offering little support for the human side of the entrepreneurial journey. Educators and trainers also expressed a need for practical materials to help them discuss these topics with young people in a structured way. The project aimed to fill this gap by creating a manual and training methodology that combine psychological insight, myth-breaking and practical tools. By working together across countries, we sought to develop an approach that is relevant in different educational contexts and supports youth in developing realistic expectations, resilience and informed confidence in entrepreneurship.
