Objectives

Within the scope of the PASEC Accreditation for Erasmus + youth mobilities for 2024.25, the theme was "The Paths of Transition and Regeneration..." based on four central objectives outlined in our accreditation approved by the National Agency Erasmus +JDCES for mobility projects. They are: Promote transnational collaborative networks that allow young people to engage in projects promoting the Sustainable Development Goals 2030; Test and implement innovative non-formal education methodologies that enable the inclusion/empowerment of NEET youth; Form transnational collaborative networks for the empowerment/inclusion of young people living in the peripheries and promote intercultural dialog; Promote the testing and implementation of new methods to enhance the full participation of all young people, enabling the strengthening of Participatory Democracy, Local Development, Inclusion, and Youth Associativism. On the other hand, our starting point was the Youth Goals and the European Youth Strategy 19.27. We started with a Youth Workers Mobility under the theme/brand "Geo 24 - "Think global, act local, be global" which focused on training skills in participatory methodologies to activate dynamics of Global Citizenship Education with at-risk youth. It took place in Druogno, Italy (July 2024). A youth mobility followed with the theme/brand Survival Camp - The Frontiers of Global Citizenship, which took place in Vila do Gerês, focused on the themes of Global Citizenship Education and the European Union Youth Goals (July 2024). Another youth mobility followed with the theme/brand "Survival Camp International - The Me, the Us, and the Version of Us We Didn't Know" focused on Education for Human Rights, Education for Peace, and Education for Sustainability. It took place in Viana do Castelo (July and August 2024). Later in the year, the Mobility of Youth Technicians took place on "Techniques for Animation and Dynamics of Disruptive Youth Groups." It was largely based on the themes of Youth Participation and Protagonism. It had as its theme/brand the International Youth Assembly 24.25 – "We tried the possible and failed, let's do the impossible." It took place in Machico - Madeira – Portugal (between December 2024 and January 2025). Finally, we had the youth mobility of Anima Camp with the theme "FROM PARTICIPANT TO PROTAGONIST." It aimed to portray the role of young people from low-density territories in participatory democracy. The themes of youth empowerment in a rural context in low-density territories were worked on. It took place from April 10 to 19, 2025, in Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The training actions for youth workers were linked to the work developed in youth mobility. It was an integrated work, planned in stages and based on the concrete reality of each partner. Regarding the objective of "promoting transnational collaborative networks that allow young people to engage in projects promoting the Sustainable Development Goals 2030," we carried out a youth mobility from July 25 to August 4, 2024 (Viana do Castelo). We wanted, thru non-formal education actions, to promote a reflection on the role of young people in a more ecological future society, of education for Peace, where the relationship between humans and the environment and the community is something natural and climate change assumes a new centrality in the promotion of new social and economic policies. Consolidate our strategy to form and strengthen transnational collaborative networks for the empowerment/inclusion of young people living in the peripheries and promote intercultural dialog. This was based on the continuation of creating/consolidating/expanding an integrated pedagogical response of non-formal education and socio-educational animation, thru collaborative networks based on non-formal education to combat xenophobia, prejudice, and lack of solidarity toward young migrants, while at the same time working on common projects that not only enable the integration of young migrants but also the empowerment/social involvement of young people living in ultra-peripheral and rural areas in their regions of origin using already existing resources. We seek to meet Youth Goal 3: to ensure the inclusion of all young people in society. We also aimed to "promote the testing and implementation of new methods to enhance the full participation of all young people, which would boost Participatory Democracy, Local Development, Inclusion, and Youth Associativism." This objective was transversal to all mobilities. It was achieved thru actions that promoted youth participation, youth leadership based on the premise "Youth who participate and decide," that is, young people who develop concrete, community-based projects with measurable results, and who take responsibility for their successes and failures.
