The main objective was to promote the social and civic participation of young people through activism and volunteering, valuing these forms of intervention as means of expression, transformation and community involvement. We intended that the young people and youth workers involved would discover new opportunities for participation, strengthen their competences and increase their motivation to become actively involved in their local, national and European communities. We wanted to respond to a need that we clearly identified: despite the existence of an increasingly informed young generation, there are still barriers to their effective participation, especially in rural contexts and with fewer opportunities. We therefore wanted to create an inclusive and dynamic space, where young people could share experiences, learn from different cultures and develop key competences for life, while youth workers were empowered to better support this path. We defined 3 objectives: 1. The personal and social development of young people through non-formal and multicultural learning; 2. To empower youth workers through innovative practices, methods and knowledge; 3. To promote inclusive and diversified forms of participation such as activism, volunteering and new digital forms of intervention. Above all, our aim was to inspire young people and professionals to become agents of change, able to give voice to their ideas and to contribute to transforming communities, making them more participatory, supportive and democratic.
