We wanted to address the problem of social exclusion among young people, associated with the lack of key skills and enriching and inclusive experiences, pursuing the following objectives: Objective 1 – To promote the development of inclusive and intercultural skills and learning among young people. Our goal was to work with young people on their needs and learning objectives so that they could develop excellent, high-quality, innovative and inclusive skills and learning, essential for their integral development. In line with the identified needs, we promoted non-formal activities, tailored to their expectations, in an intercultural environment and with mixed methods, so that young people had access to new experiences, worked collaboratively to achieve their goals, explored their potential, empowered themselves and identified solutions for youth, producing quality results. All this contributed to them becoming more participatory, aware, entrepreneurial and proactive young people in the way they view and manage their future. Objective 2 – Empowering Youth Workers for their professional development and for the improvement, innovation, and increased quality of youth work. Our objective was to work with Youth Workers so that, in pairs and through the active sharing of experiences and knowledge, they could develop the skills for more innovative, inclusive, and high-quality work with and for young people. To this end, we promoted the identification of needs and the structuring of response methods, focusing on non-formal and digital methods and their potential. Thus, we enhanced the qualifications of Youth Workers, their job satisfaction, and their greater capacity for intervention and work with young people. In line with the identified needs, our ambition was to create spaces for knowledge production and experimentation, where Youth Workers could learn about new tools and methods for working with youth (including working with young people with fewer opportunities). Objective 3 – Promoting youth participation and development in line with priorities and strategies in the field of youth. Our objective was to foster the participation of young people in society, contributing to combating their social exclusion. To this end, we promote the empowerment, connection, and involvement of young people, as well as the capacity building of youth organizations (and consequently, the organizations they represent), so that there are more quality youth initiatives, so that young people are informed and aware of current youth-oriented priorities and strategies, and so that they become involved in their communities, with particular relevance to rural areas with low youth retention rates. Following these needs, we sought to work in line with these strategies and priorities, so that the results and impacts generated would contribute to achieving them, promoting a more sustainable, inclusive, and interconnected future, with appropriate opportunities for the consolidation of young people's life projects and goals.
