The project’s main purpose was to promote social inclusion, empowerment, and the active participation of young people and youth workers through Non-Formal Education (NFE) and, in particular, through the Education Through Sport (ETS) methodology. Its implementation was part of CNAPEF’s long-term strategy and sought to address the challenges identified in the application: the increase in youth social exclusion, early school leaving, lack of transversal skills, and the low levels of civic and democratic participation among young people. In more concrete terms, the project aimed at two complementary capacity-building axes: a)The empowerment of youth workers, strengthening their competences, methods, and tools of intervention with young people, especially those with fewer opportunities; b)The empowerment of the young people themselves, through an indirect approach that places them at the centre of educational strategies developed by better-prepared, inclusive, and socially conscious youth workers. Specific Objectives 1.To develop key competences for lifelong learning, both in youth workers and young people, promoting autonomy, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration; 2.To strengthen the social role of sport as an educational tool and as a promoter of values such as solidarity, equality, respect, and cooperation; 3.To promote the social inclusion of young people from vulnerable backgrounds, reducing inequalities and fostering equal opportunities for participation; 4.To equip organisations and youth workers with innovative, non-formal, and experience-based methodologies — namely ETS — integrating them into their daily practice; 5.To create a European cooperation network among entities working in the youth sector, encouraging the exchange of good practices and the development of new joint projects within the Erasmus+ framework; 6.To foster active citizenship and a sense of European belonging, raising awareness of European Union values and encouraging informed and responsible democratic participation.
