As this project is implemented within the framework of our Erasmus accreditation in Youth, the main objective was not to deliver isolated activities, but to contribute in a coherent and strategic way to the long term development goals of Adamastor – Associação Cultural as an accredited organisation under the Erasmus+ Programme. Through this annual project, we aimed to consolidate and operationalise our accreditation activity plan by offering high quality international mobility experiences that strengthen young people’s competences, reinforce our organisational capacity, and deepen our long term partnerships at European and international level. The project was designed as a concrete step in the progressive implementation of our accreditation objectives, ensuring continuity, learning and impact across different activity cycles rather than focusing on one off results. At participant level, our objective was to empower young people to become more active, informed and responsible citizens, capable of engaging critically with key European and global challenges. Across the two youth exchanges implemented in Viseu, we sought to raise awareness and develop competences related to the EU Youth Goals, environmental sustainability and green practices, digital transformation and the use of technology as a tool for participation, as well as democratic participation and active citizenship. These themes reflect both the priorities of the Erasmus+ Youth field and the core mission of Adamastor, and were addressed through non formal education methodologies that place young people at the centre of the learning process. At organisational level, the project aimed to strengthen Adamastor’s role as a reference youth organisation in the region of Viseu and within our international network, particularly in the context of our 20th anniversary. Hosting two international youth exchanges locally allowed us to reinforce our experience in project coordination, participant support, quality management and local community involvement, while also increasing the visibility and impact of European youth work in our territory. The inclusion of a Study Visit in Kayseri, Türkiye, with our long standing partner Abdullah Gül University, had the objective of investing in staff development and strategic cooperation. Through this activity, we aimed to reflect on our practices, exchange methodologies, and align future cooperation with the priorities of our accreditation, particularly in relation to quality assurance, innovation in youth work, and the integration of digital and sustainable approaches in international projects. Overall, the project sought to ensure a clear contribution to the objectives set out in our accreditation by combining youth mobility, organisational learning and partnership development. By doing so, we aimed to maximise the long term impact of the awarded funding, not only on the direct participants of the three activities, but also on the strategic growth, quality standards and sustainability of Adamastor’s work in the youth field.
