Objectives

Our Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation, under the long-term strategy “Goals Keeper”, was conceived as a cohesive plan to address young people’s needs from the local to national and European levels and to contribute to the overall objectives of the European Youth Strategy, the European Youth Goals, and Erasmus+. Its overarching aim is to prepare a generation capable of addressing today’s social challenges while upholding European values, strengthening active citizenship, and building inclusive and resilient communities. The main vision of our strategy is rooted in the principles of non-formal education and peer-to-peer learning and aligns with our six main areas of intervention, namely Health Promotion and Education, Intervention for Social Inclusion, Education for Development and International Cooperation, Employability, Entrepreneurship and Active Citizenship, Environmental Education, and Humanitarian Action, with each individual Youth Exchange implemented within this framework contributing to these long-term objectives and ensuring a lasting and sustainable impact on youth development at the local, national and international levels. In specific, this project has the following four main objectives: Ensuring long-term youth plan and impact: Through this accreditation, we created a robust and cohesive seven-year youth exchange plan for young people. This strategy is in direct accordance with the EU Youth Strategy and allows us to improve and expand our intervention on fundamental issues such as Human Rights and ensures the continued development of youth with fewer opportunities. Through high-quality activities, it is designed to facilitate young growth and improvement. Alignment with EU Youth Strategy: As the name alludes to, the “Goals Keeper” project is intricately linked to the EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027) and the European Youth Goals (2021-2027). Our activities focus on each of the European Youth Goals and aim to empower, engage and connect the young participants. We wish to develop young people’s skills, abilities and knowledge within this European scope, boosting EU’s priority areas and promoting active citizenship, intercultural understanding, and personal development. Social Innovation and Creativity: Our project is committed to tackling new youth challenges, especially of vulnerable young people, through social innovation and creativity. As part of this long-term plan, we aim to increase our impact by fostering an environment of continuous improvement and adaptability. This goal relates to the creation of a network of European youth organisations focused on collective growth and sustainable development. Increasing the visibility and recognition of the European Youth Strategy, Youth Goals, and Erasmus+: Our activities are aligned with these frameworks, promoting them across the broader European network of young people, youth workers and youth organisations. We want to encourage young people to engage in their communities by raising awareness of European values, enhancing their communication, leadership, and resilience skills. By showcasing the success of our initiatives, we aim to inspire others to adopt similar approaches and contribute to the wider goals of the Erasmus+ programme. These combined objectives allowed us to create a strong, cohesive six-year plan, with the ultimate goal to engage, connect, and empower young people by preparing them and effectively support and inspire future generations across Europe. These objectives collectively underscored our commitment to making a meaningful and lasting impact on the youth we work with and for, and on the broader European youth development landscape. This year’s Youth Exchange, entitled “Sustain’Ability”, continues the path established in previous editions, focusing on Youth Goal number ten, Sustainable Green Europe. This decision reflects both the urgency of the climate crisis and the recognition that sustainability has become one of the most pressing concerns for younger generations. As those who will bear the long-term consequences of environmental degradation, young people must be empowered to act as change makers, equipped with knowledge, skills and opportunities to influence practices and build a more sustainable future. The rationale behind selecting this Youth Goal is anchored in the conviction that sustainability is no longer optional but an obligation for present and future generations. The project was therefore designed to promote a deeper understanding of sustainability in all its dimensions, from environmental awareness to the social and economic behaviours that shape our daily lives, providing young people with concrete tools to apply sustainable practices, to encourage reflection on the systemic challenges that compromise the well-being of communities, and to foster the creativity and innovation needed to generate effective responses.
