Through this project, we promote young people’s participation in Europe’s democratic life at local, regional and European levels, thereby providing new opportunities for them to engage with and participate in civil society. The objectives were: 1. To raise awareness of and gain first-hand knowledge of the European institutions; 2. To contribute to young people’s personal and social development and to their media literacy; 3. To promote Youth Goals 5, 1, 4, 9, 6 and 11; 4. To create opportunities for young people in our region, the Lezíria do Tejo, to get involved and participate in civil society and in constructive and participatory dialogues; 5. To promote common European values and fundamental rights and to contribute to the process of European integration; 6. We have promoted the ‘EU Dialogue’ with young people by organising seminars with MEPs; 7. We have created educational resources that encourage young people to get involved and learn how to participate in civil society.
