Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen the competences of partner NGOs, youth workers, and young people in environmental sustainability through Eco Art as an innovative non-formal education method. It sought to improve Eco Art and green innovation skills of 92 participants (12 youth workers and 80 young people), increase environmental awareness, and promote responsible environmental behaviour. The project aimed to ensure inclusion by engaging at least 40 young people with fewer opportunities, reducing participation barriers and strengthening belonging, self-expression, and civic engagement. It also aimed to enhance digital competences through online research, digital surveys, environmental online activism, and participation in a virtual reality exhibition. At organisational level, the project aimed to strengthen transnational cooperation and increase managerial and organisational competences of staff by 30%. Finally, it aimed to increase the visibility of youth work in sustainability through local and online exhibitions, an Eco Art Podcast, a Best Practices Toolkit, and dissemination activities reaching at least 3,000 people, contributing to Erasmus+ priorities.

Background

This project was developed in response to urgent needs identified by the partner NGOs and their communities, namely the need for capacity building, stronger networking, increased environmental awareness, greater inclusion of marginalised youth, and the promotion of innovative green approaches in youth work. The project aimed to strengthen the competences of 12 youth workers and 80 young people in understanding environmental issues and applying Eco Art as an innovative and sustainable method. It also ensured inclusive participation by actively involving marginalised young people in each partner country. Additionally, the project enhanced digital skills through the use of online tools, virtual exhibitions, surveys, and digital activism. The main outcomes included the creation of an Eco Art Podcast and a Toolkit of Best Practices, the organisation of four local exhibitions and one virtual exhibition, and dissemination activities reaching at least 3,000 people. Overall, the project empowered young people, strengthened the organisational capacity of partner NGOs, and promoted sustainability, inclusion, and innovation in line with Erasmus+ priorities
