Objectives

The activities were designed based on the feedback and learning outcomes of the previous accreditation year, highlighting the growing need for digital literacy, critical thinking, and civic participation among Roma and rural youth. This ensured continuity and relevance in addressing EU Youth Goals 3, 4, and 9.Through the project implemented during the second year of our Erasmus+ Youth accreditation, Nevo Parudimos Association aimed to empower young people and youth workers to become active, confident, and responsible members of society. The project continued our long-term mission of promoting inclusion, participation, and equality, focusing on young people with fewer opportunities, such as Roma youth, youth from rural areas, those facing economic difficulties, or those affected by health and social barriers. The main aim of the project was to strengthen the role of youth work as a catalyst for inclusion and empowerment, providing meaningful learning opportunities that combine creativity, digital education, civic participation, and intercultural cooperation. By offering diverse experiences through four mobilities implemented between 2024 and 2025, we aimed to support participants in discovering their potential, improving their competences, and actively contributing to their communities. The project addressed several EU Youth Goals, in particular Goal 3, Inclusive Societies, Goal 4, Information and Constructive Dialogue, and Goal 9, Space and Participation for All. Each activity was designed to contribute to these priorities by promoting equal access to opportunities, developing digital and social skills, and creating spaces for open dialogue and collaboration among young people from different backgrounds. The first thematic area focused on digital empowerment and critical thinking, supporting young people to use technology responsibly and creatively as a tool for expression and community engagement. Through the youth exchanges Digitally United and Digital Bridges, participants explored topics such as digital responsibility, online communication, and the social impact of technology. They learned to apply digital tools for positive change and to understand their role as conscious users and creators in the digital era. The second thematic area focused on social inclusion and civic participation, directly linked to the work Nevo Parudimos carries out with Roma communities and disadvantaged youth. The training course CRYCO – Connecting Roma Youth with Civic Opportunities supported youth workers and community leaders in developing methods and tools to involve Roma and marginalized young people in democratic life. It also encouraged cooperation between organizations and institutions, promoting equality, participation, and shared responsibility. The third thematic area addressed personal development, empathy, and sustainability, offering young people the chance to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with nature through non-formal learning. The youth exchange The Light Within You is Universal was designed as an inclusive space for reflection, creativity, and cooperation. Participants explored identity, diversity, and inclusion, learning that every person carries unique strengths that can contribute to building a more empathetic and sustainable world. Across all activities, the objectives of the project were to: - Promote inclusion and cultural diversity through international cooperation; - Strengthen digital, civic, and social competences among young people and youth workers; - Encourage active participation and engagement in community and democratic life; - Support empowerment and self-confidence through creative, experiential learning; - Integrate sustainability and responsible behavior as expressions of solidarity and respect for the environment. In practice, this meant creating safe and supportive environments where young people and youth workers could share experiences, challenge stereotypes, and learn to transform obstacles into motivation. Participants were encouraged to take initiative, express opinions, and develop a sense of belonging to both their local and European communities. Beyond the learning experience for individuals, the project also contributed to strengthening Nevo Parudimos’ organizational capacity. It helped us improve the quality of our youth work, reinforce cooperation with partner organizations, and develop innovative practices that respond to the real needs of today’s young people. By implementing this project, we wanted to give young people the space, tools, and confidence to act as change-makers,to be informed, involved, and inspired to shape their future. The project reaffirmed our belief that empowerment comes through learning, connection, and participation, and that youth work remains one of the most effective instruments for building inclusion, solidarity, and social cohesion in Europe.
