During the second year of its Erasmus+ accreditation, AIS implemented, in line with the activities planned in the Accreditation framework, two learning mobility projects: A3 – “NextGen: YouthPreneurs” and A4 – “NextGen: EmployAbility”. Both aimed to empower young people by developing key competences for employability, entrepreneurship, and active European citizenship. A3 – “NextGen: YouthPreneurs”, carried out between 14–24 November 2024 at Pensiunea Siady in Argestru, Vatra Dornei, involved 55 participants (45 young people and 8 group leaders coordinated by 2 facilitators) from 8 European countries. The main goal of this activity was to develop entrepreneurial thinking as a solution to youth unemployment. Participants worked in multicultural teams, engaging in interactive workshops, simulations, and business plan exercises, making use of their diverse experiences to co-create business concepts. Through this activity, young people improved their ability to communicate effectively, to cooperate and take initiative, and to turn ideas into feasible actions. They were exposed to examples of local entrepreneurship, which helped them better understand the process of starting and managing small businesses. At the same time, intercultural collaboration encouraged mutual respect, solidarity, and understanding among participants from different European backgrounds. The activity also promoted lifelong learning, self-reflection, civic engagement, and awareness of the Erasmus+ programme and Youthpass as tools for personal and professional development. A4 – “NextGen: EmployAbility”, implemented between 2–12 June 2025 in the same location, brought together 54 participants (45 young people and 7 group leaders coordinated by 2 facilitators) from 7 European countries. This activity focused on improving young people’s chances of employment by strengthening their key employability skills. Participants took part in interactive workshops designed to enhance their communication, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, public speaking, and CV/cover letter writing abilities — all essential skills for today’s competitive labour market. During A4, participants and leaders reflected on youth (un)employment in different European countries, analysing trends and factors influencing access to the labour market. They also discussed issues related to social inclusion, equal access to information, and overcoming barriers such as discrimination, lack of skills, or limited opportunities. The activity stimulated creativity and innovation by encouraging participants to develop sustainable solutions for reducing youth unemployment through the four “C’s”: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The cooperation between partners during both activities strengthened operational and management capacity, facilitated the exchange of good practices, and contributed to expanding the network of partner organisations at regional, national, and European levels. By combining A3 and A4, the project aimed to support the growth of a generation of autonomous, informed, and motivated young people capable of transforming ideas into concrete actions. The project contributed to increasing employability, promoting entrepreneurial spirit, and fostering European values of cooperation, solidarity, and intercultural learning. Moreover, it laid the foundation for future collaborations, enhancing the long-term impact of Erasmus+ activities within the youth sector and contributing to the sustainable development of participating communities.
