Objectives

The project “Empowering Youth through Sustainability and Inclusion” marked the first year of implementation under the Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation held by Association “Colour Your Dreams”. It represented an important step in translating the organisation’s long-term strategy into concrete actions that support youth development, sustainability and inclusion across Europe. The main goal was to strengthen the organisation’s capacity to coordinate and implement high-quality learning mobilities for youth and youth workers. The project contributed to the creation of a strong European network of partner organisations committed to sustainability, inclusion, and intercultural learning. It also aimed to empower young people and youth workers to act as agents of change for a greener, fairer and more inclusive society. Through three complementary mobility activities – a Study Visit in Poland, a Training Course for Youth Workers in Romania and a Youth Exchange “Green Transitions – Youth for a Sustainable Future” – the project offered participants diverse learning contexts and intercultural experiences. Each activity addressed a different dimension of the accreditation’s objectives: professional development, capacity building and youth empowerment. The project objectives were to: • Strengthen the competences of youth workers and educators in sustainability, inclusion and non-formal education; • Integrate green competences, social innovation, and circular economy principles into youth work practices; • Foster participation, diversity and intercultural dialogue among young people from different backgrounds; • Support the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through adapted learning support and mentoring; • Build long-term partnerships with European organisations to ensure continuity and impact beyond the project. The three activities complemented each other: The Study Visit in Poland focused on observing innovative approaches to social inclusion and green transition in post-industrial regions; The Training Course in Romania equipped youth workers with tools, methods and skills to implement sustainability-based learning programmes; The Youth Exchange in Godinești gave young people the opportunity to explore sustainable lifestyles, environmental responsibility and active citizenship through experiential learning. The project reflected the organisation’s commitment to the Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards, ensuring high-quality management, inclusion, environmental responsibility and participant support throughout all phases. All participants received a Youthpass certificate, recognising their learning outcomes. As the first year of accreditation, the project laid a strong foundation for future cooperation and mobility opportunities. It strengthened the role of Association “Colour Your Dreams” as a reliable Erasmus+ partner and contributed to building a community of youth and youth workers who continue to exchange ideas, share experiences and collaborate on projects for a sustainable and inclusive Europe.
