The EcoXplorer project was designed to address the growing environmental challenges faced by communities across Europe and to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to actively contribute to environmental protection. The project sought to foster a sense of responsibility among youth towards sustainability, encouraging them to adopt and promote eco-friendly behaviors in their daily lives. The primary objectives were to increase awareness of environmental issues, develop practical skills in environmental protection, and promote civic engagement through active participation in sustainability initiatives. Additionally, the project aimed to enhance the competencies of young people in teamwork, leadership, and intercultural collaboration, preparing them for future involvement in community-driven projects. Another key goal was to encourage networking and cooperation between European youth organizations, enabling them to create long-term partnerships focused on environmental sustainability. Through a hands-on approach, the project also intended to empower young people to become agents of change by equipping them with tools and methodologies for effective advocacy and environmental action. By the end of the project, participants were expected to not only adopt sustainable practices themselves but also inspire and educate others in their communities, thus contributing to a long-lasting impact at the local, regional, and European levels. Project objectives: O1. Facilitate the exchange of best practices among the 40 participants during a 10-day program, generating an Eco instruction guide useful for daily use. This guide will be distributed online to other young people in the community for 4 months after the activities. O2. Motivate the 40 participants to engage in at least one environmental protection action by December 31, 2024. O3. Create 6 promotional films promoting an eco-friendly mindset and disseminate them to a minimum of 2000 people by December 31, 2024.
