The UPrising project aimed to address the growing issue of low motivation among young people and its strong connection to mental health. By creating an open and supportive environment, we tackled the taboo surrounding mental health in Europe, giving participants the space to freely express their feelings, emotions, and motivations. Through structured discussions and activities, we explored the causes and consequences of low motivation, highlighting its links to mental health challenges such as depression, substance abuse, and self-harm, which can lead to social exclusion and negative coping mechanisms. Our core objective was to create a safe and inclusive space where 42 participants from 6 countries could engage in meaningful dialogue, identify barriers to motivation, and develop effective strategies for sustaining long-term motivation. Using non-formal education methods, we equipped participants with practical skills in goal-setting, time management, and visualization techniques, helping them improve both their personal and professional lives. The project also fostered intercultural exchange, encouraging young people to collaborate across borders while using digital tools to create content that promotes motivation and mental well-being. Through fostering self-awareness, resilience, and teamwork, the project empowered young people to take charge of their motivation and mental health while actively reducing stigma in their communities. The specific objectives of the project were: O1: Provide a framework for 42 young people (aged 18–24) to understand motivation and its connection to mental health O2: Enable young people to collaborate with international peers to enhance motivation and unlock their full potential O3: Utilize non-formal education methods to strengthen skills in goal-setting, visualization, and time management O4: Promote the positive use of digital tools to create youth-driven content that raises awareness about motivation and mental health
