The objectives of our project are aimed to bring positive and long-lasting effects on the participants and participating organisations involved, as well as on the local, regional, European and international level. Objective 1: Increased youth empowerment and improved youth worker competences This objective is linked to the need to integrate youth into local communities, to recruit competent youth workers and to improve skills and competences of present youth workers, as well as to recruit managers and facilitators of youth gatherings which will give increased job possibilities. It is further linked to the need to develop clear strategic longterm plans for youth work within organisations and to improve physical facilities Furthermore, it is linked to the need to empower youth, improve learning performances, provide ways for youth to take responsibility, initiative and active participation, enhance employability, sharing of ideas and experiences, improved language and digital skills, as well as environmental responsible behaviour. It is moreover linked to the need of increased network with partner organisations and the sharing of good practises, as well as to the need to propagate different EU-programs which will enhance the empowerment of youth. The Accreditation supports the endeavours of ISKCON Almvik to give young people the opportunity to develop their competences for job opportunities and as youth workers, to take initiative, to help organise youth gatherings and to practically apply and improve their knowledge, ideas, skills and competences. Youth will get the opportunity to take up tasks in management, facilitation, and help organise Youth Mobilities (YM). They will be part of the decision making process. These will strengthen their personal and professional development. When evaluating and analysing previous YMs and youth gatherings ISKCON Almvik identified the need to develop both a clear strategic longterm plan for youth work, and to develop managerial and organisational skills. There is also a need to integrate youth work better into the local community. The accreditation gives ISKCON Almvik the possibilities to improve its strategic and longterm planning, foster new organisational practices and raise quality of youth work in general, as well as to create non-formal education opportunities for youth. It will also help to improve physical facilities so that better facilities can be offered for future YMs and youth gatherings. ISKCON Almvik also seeks to develop cooperation with new partner organisations so that the organisation can expand its network and foster quality development of youth work on local, regional, national and international level. This will enhance creativity and innovation at the level of organisations and policies in the field of youth; ISKCON Almvik wants to share knowledge, skills and experiences with partners and also include less experienced organisations. Objective 2: Improved wellbeing and improved skills and competences of youth This objective is linked to the need of wellbeing and social inclusion of young people. It is linked to the need to create and/or to strengthen platforms for social inclusion. It is also linked to the need to be and feel part of a group and to make friends with youth within their own groups and also with youth from other European countries so that they together can explore and discuss topics which are important to them. Furthermore, it is linked to the need to create opportunities where youth can improve and apply their skills, knowledge and competences, and improve self-esteem and self-empowerment and strengthen their personal and professional development. In discussions with local youth they identified the need to make friends with youths from other European countries to establish cooperation and learn their perspectives on different topics and issues. They expressed the need to explore and discuss topics which are important for youth such as values, health and wellbeing, emotions, relationships, and also societal challenges such as climate crisis, or wars. There is also a need of opportunities where youth can apply and improve their skills and competences such as linguistic, cultural or entrepreneurial competences. The Accreditation gives them the opportunity e.g. to speak foreign languages, to learn about others cultures, or to improve entrepreneurial competences through organising workshops, being part of the management team, etc. In discussions youth expressed that they want to know more about opportunities which the EU offers to them. They want to know more about the different programs and how they can be part of them. ISKCON Almvik aims to increase knowledge about EU-programs such as Youth Mobilities, Youth Worker Mobilities, ESC Volunteering Projects or Solidarity Projects.
