We sought to enable staff to acquire new knowledge and explore good practices while drawing inspiration from exemplary approaches that address identified needs of our users, respond to current societal challenges, align with the library’s strategic plan, and contribute to sustainable development goals. The project supports the development of new services and the ongoing improvement of existing ones, particularly in social inclusion, digital skills, active citizenship, and green literacy.
Strengthening international cooperation and developing more responsive services tailored to the identified needs of users are among the strategic priorities of the library. The transition to the new premises of the Central Library of Maribor represents both a challenge and an opportunity to enrich the space with innovative and enhanced services that address contemporary societal issues and evolving user expectations.
