We aimed to: -Broaden the perspectives of adult educators regarding good practices and policies, and deepen professional knowledge for working with parents and other family members in the field of media literacy. -Develop educational content focused on digital parenting competences and family counselling related to digital challenges. -Implement lectures and workshops aimed at improving media literacy and digital competences, as well as introduce concrete improvements in work with adult learners
The digitization and opening of the media space pose significant societal challenges. Parents often feel incompetent in this area which is reflected in their perspectives, parenting styles, and handling of such challenges. With this project, we aimed to contribute to improve media literacy and digital competencies while providing support to parents and other family members in raising children and youth in the digital age. We aimed to develop new programs for families with fewer opportunities.
