With the project Ctrl+Alt+Erasmus, we aimed to connect and address two highly relevant topics in contemporary youth work – digitalisation (with a focus on gamification) and mental health of young people. The purpose of the project was to explore how digital tools and gamification methods can become effective instruments for strengthening young people’s mental health, resilience, and personal growth. The methods developed by participants during the Training Course (TC) formed the foundation for the Youth Exchange (YE), where these approaches and newly gained knowledge were tested and further developed together with young participants. It was essential to us that the activities were interconnected, built upon each other, and were based on real, current challenges faced by young people. For the successful implementation of such a project, reliable and high-quality partnerships were crucial. The project was carried out in cooperation with three key partner organisations, which were actively involved in all phases – from planning and preparation to implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of results. Thanks to strong collaboration and a good understanding of the partners’ work, specific contexts, and the needs of their young people, we were able to design a project that directly addressed the real challenges of youth in these environments. The aim of the project was not only to deliver a high-quality and relevant programme, but also to strengthen and deepen partnerships, while providing young participants with an unforgettable international experience through which they could get to know themselves better, develop personal and social competences, and recognise the importance of community and cooperation in overcoming life’s challenges. Main objectives of the project: - To strengthen existing international partnerships and co-create a high-quality international project for young people. - To establish new partnerships with other international organisations active in the field of youth work and to exchange good practices and experiences. - To develop competences in the field of digitalisation and gamification in youth work. - To increase awareness of mental health challenges among young people and explore how youth work can effectively address them. - To foster personal and professional development of all participants involved. - To enable personal growth and self-reflection through experiential international learning.
