Objectives

With the project, we aimed to increase the awareness of local young people about international opportunities and enable them to participate in one of them. The objectives were focused on acquiring new competences, skills and knowledge, active participation of young people in youth exchanges, and thus their empowerment. In the field of youth work, the goals were focused on gaining new knowledge, skills and good practices of youth workers, which would consequently improve the quality of youth work. We also strengthened our network of European partner organizations involved in international projects and established new partnerships. We strived to increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme in the local environment. Turning Time into Happiness: To raise awareness among young people that small changes in mindset regarding the importance of organizing one’s time can lead to a better quality of life. To establish an individualized schedule for each participant, considering their preferences and the amount of time they have at their disposal for effective carrying out of the daily activities. To recognize if and where their time is leaking and to observe if they spend their time with quality (if it includes everything necessary for good well-being – quality rest, considering mental health, walks in nature etc.). To set personal goals and establish priorities in order to contribute to more productive and successful living. Empowered Youth Empowers the World: Discovering the personal potential of individuals and the potential of the community. Developing and strengthening new and existing skills that will empower individuals and the community they live in. Discovering self-confidence, opportunities for growth, and how to become the best version of oneself. Finding ways to “outsmart” one’s own brain and thus achieve breakthroughs in overcoming mental barriers. Participants shared their personal experiences and evaluated their own behaviour. In both youth exchanges, the aim for participants was to build self-confidence, which would help them overcome challenges in everyday life more easily, get to know themselves better and thereby improve their mental well-being, as well as learn about cultural differences and lifestyles of young people from other European countries. Study visit in Denmark: Activity aimed at widening our network of partnering organisations in order to carry out international projects, gaining new knowledge and competences for youth workers and employees of the municipality – responsible for youth field, getting to know new good practices and experiences in the field of youth work in Slovenia and Denmark, increasing the awareness of opportunities that Erasmus plus (and ESC) bring. Both external collaborators, present at the study visit, are working in the field of working with youth, hence their employment opportunities increased. PBA Momentum: Partnership in motion: Activity aimed at deepening the existing relationships with partner organisations, build new connections with the organisations we didn’t collaborate yet with and give opportunity to the organisations present to connect among themselves. We explored the ideas for possibilities of future collaborations and shared good examples of practices in our organisations. In the time of the activity we found common fields/ topics that all of the organisations want to work on, that is why we arranged future meeting that will happen in May in Denmark (hosting organisation Gentofte Ungdomskkole – partners at the PBA), that will dictate our next steps of collaboration.
