Objectives

With the project, we aimed to raise awareness about peer violence. This is a topic that is always worth discussing and informing about, as reports from relevant organizations indicate that violence among young people, especially online violence, is on the rise. Young people cannot escape the online world, where violence never truly ends and is also difficult to trace, as perpetrators use applications that do not keep records, employ pseudonyms, intimidate victims, and so on. Various studies and analyses show that young people today are exposed to teasing, blackmail, and even physical violence in schools and during extracurricular activities to such an extent that these struggles cause significant mental health issues. We believe that the role of youth centers and other organizations for young people is crucial in this regard, and such projects are particularly important. Our goals were: To create a positive atmosphere and mutual connection within the group using various methods such as icebreakers, energizers, and team-building activities. This would allow all young participants to feel safe and accepted. We aimed to foster a sense of belonging, respect, and trust. To engage young people in discussions about their experiences on this topic, sharing good and bad practices from their environments and any initiatives or changes they propose. We wanted them to prepare an outline of the situation at home, which we would then compare and discuss together. To encourage young people to express their opinions and perspectives confidently by actively involving them in discussions, project tasks, and accompanying activities. To facilitate networking among young participants while also introducing them to our local environment. Simultaneously, we organized activities to explore the countries and cultures of the participants. Through this, we pursued the goal of broadening horizons, promoting cultural relativism, tolerance, and solidarity. To provide young people with new knowledge, skills, and competencies through the learning-by-doing method (e.g., scriptwriting, video recording and editing, acting, stage design, promotion, music, event organization). The exchange emphasized teamwork, effective group collaboration, planning and managing activities, effective communication, responsibility in completing tasks, brainstorming, etc. Our main final product was a short film, accompanied by the organization of its premiere. To increase young people's awareness of all aspects of violence, how to recognize it, and how to act, as well as its consequences for both perpetrators and victims. To encourage interaction among young people from different backgrounds, habits, and standards. We aimed to dismantle prejudices and hesitations, which we believe is very important in today's world, where political and geographical challenges and pressures are increasing. To inform and raise awareness in the broader public through the participation of young people, thereby also promoting EU projects. To inspire young people to reflect on their ecological habits and sustainable living practices, implementing good practices in their own environments. To present the reciprocity between young people and the wider society through participation in the project and encourage their active engagement in society (continuing awareness-raising in local communities with project recordings and encouraging additional activities on the topic, etc.).
