Objectives

Project partners and our young members increasingly notice that young people face numerous obstacles, many of which violate their human rights, but they are not even aware of it. All of us involved in the preparation of this project were of the opinion that young people should be more aware of their rights, and it is also very important for them to be aware of when their rights are violated. A large number of young people in the EU can therefore find themselves on the margins of society due to the violation of their rights and discrimination. These young people are often less active citizens. We believe that this project was very useful for all project participants, as we helped the young people involved to gain a better understanding of the topic of human rights. The project enabled young participants to strengthen and develop their key competences, acquire new knowledge, skills and abilities. We introduced young people to the importance of planning and identifying learning outcomes, and recording acquired competences. We believe that this is especially important for young people with fewer opportunities. Therefore, we also placed special emphasis on the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in project activities. The project had a positive impact on all participating organizations. We are aware that we, as organizations, also need to work on broadening our horizons and acquiring new knowledge and ideas, which we can then pass on to our young members and support them in facing everyday challenges.
