All the participating organizations find it difficult to provide quality Wood Badge training on their own, either due to the small number of members or the lack of training of the trainers. The aim of the International Wood Badge Course 2024 project is to provide members of various scouting organizations in Europe with such an experience and to enable them to transfer new knowledge and skills to their local and national environments and connect smaller national scouting organizations that find it difficult to provide quality Wood Badge education on their own. Thus, the training addresses the role of the individual (participant) within scouting, understanding the key ideas of the scouting movement (mission, values, methods), managing volunteers, ensuring a quality program for members of organizations and quality processes in the organization. Partnership organizations provide such difficult training either from the perspective of participants or trainers. The international dimension of the training further enhances the experience, as the breadth of the range of ideas and strategies for solving similar challenges is greatly increased. The project goals are: Participants get to know the mission and values of the scouting movement and the scouting method Participants gain the skills and tools to lead a group of volunteers The participants know clear criteria for the quality of the program and the functioning of the organizations, which they know how to use Participants set goals for their own performance within the organization Participants carry out their personal projects Participants remain active volunteers in the organization for at least the year of participation in the course
