The Fascia of Humanity project equipped youth workers with high-quality skills to address the challenges faced by young people, including those with fewer opportunities who required additional support. The project idea was based on close collaboration with partners, which brought us awareness that many young people suffer from mental distress and experience strong feelings of uncertainty about the future, stemming both from environmental imbalances and various social and political tensions in the world. Together with our partners, we identified the needs and challenges of young people as well as the necessary measures in the field of youth work. Our goals were to provide youth workers with appropriate tools and competencies to support young people in facing challenges and uncertainties, with a focus on mental health; to promote inclusive youth work practices; to develop strategies that empower young people in dealing with the challenges of the modern world; to create sustainable mechanisms for supporting youth workers; and to strengthen cooperation with local communities, schools, institutions, and non-governmental organizations that can support young people in their home environments. By implementing this project, we strived for a better understanding and response to the needs of young people, contributing to the improvement of their mental health, greater resilience, and successful overcoming of contemporary challenges.
