The purpose of the project was to actively involve and empower young people and youth workers in the co-creation of measures that promote sustainable forms of mobility and, consequently, influence the travel habits of young people. We aimed to enable young people to present their proposed measures and solutions to local decision-makers while they were still in the planning phase of the new Municipal Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of the City of Celje (OCPS MOC). Through the project, we pursued the following objectives: To encourage the active participation of young people in the co-creation of sustainable transport measures at the local level (in the City of Celje). To raise awareness among young people about the concepts of sustainable mobility and to review, assess, and comment on the existing OCPS MOC from the perspective of young people. To promote the use of sustainable modes of travel among young people. To strengthen cooperation between young people and decision-makers in the City of Celje by contributing to a shift in the planning paradigm for the preparation of the OCPS MOC, incorporating fresh youth perspectives on the challenges of sustainable mobility.
