Objectives

The TRAVELUTION project aimed to raise young people’s awareness of responsible and mindful travelling, while developing their practical travel skills, critical thinking, and ability to react in unexpected situations. It focused on fostering intercultural dialogue and cooperation among participants from Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, strengthening cultural understanding, empathy, and openness towards different ways of life. The project also sought to encourage young people to reflect on how travelling influences their personal growth and perception of the world, and to inspire them to plan and experience travel in a more conscious and meaningful way. At the same time, participants had the opportunity to learn about the Erasmus+ programme for youth, develop their competences in event organisation and non-formal education, and gain experience with using the Youthpass certificate as a tool for recognising their acquired skills and learning outcomes. One of the project’s specific goals was to create a board game called TRAVELUTION, which playfully conveys the project’s main themes – travelling, cultural diversity, and intercultural understanding to other young people and youth workers, ensuring the project’s long-term impact and outreach.
