By implementing this project, we want to achieve a process with multi-dimensional profits, such as protecting and developing traditional arts, supporting the local people - especially women - socio-economically by creating stronger employment opportunities, strengthening the institution's personnel profile, transferring traditional arts to future generations, by first-hand transfer of existing good practices and experiences around Europe in terms of protecting traditional arts.
In Kahramanmaraş province, especially after the 6th February earthquakes, there is an intense tendency towards traditional handicrafts, which are seen as a source of income in the changing socio-economic structure. The applicant organisation has undertaken the responsibility of transforming this tendency into an active process within the training-production-marketing cycle. A job-shadowing program has been planned to achieve transferring European good practices and experiences to the local area.
