Students' knowledge of using technological devices and digital applications employed in the care of advanced dementia patients has been increased, deficiencies in effective communication between students and dementia patients have been reduced, and the shortcomings of our teachers in the application of devices used in elderly care services and in the methods of conveying technical issues have been decreased.
Our school implemented this project to address needs such as providing students with experience in using assistive technological devices used in the care of elderly people with dementia, improving communication skills with individuals with dementia, enhancing the school climate through renewable resources, collaborating with local health units, and learning training techniques related to dementia care, thereby building advanced capacity.
