By implementing our project, we aimed to help young people gain knowledge and develop awareness about the importance and protection of forest ecosystems. Through the activities carried out during the process, we contributed to this goal by helping participants understand the effects of forests on the global and local environment, the kinds of work that can be done to develop forest protection strategies, and how active participation can be achieved. Within the scope of our project, three main topics were addressed to inform young people. The first topic was climate change and disappearing forests. The second topic was identified as local and global environmental problems. The third topic was cultural change and international cooperation. In all three areas, various activities were carried out to inform the participants. They gained ideas and developed awareness about the role of forests in the ecosystem, their effects on climate change, urbanization, air pollution, environmental pollution, forest health, and the kinds of work that can be undertaken within the framework of international cooperation and solidarity in forest protection. In this way, knowledge and experience sharing among participants from different cultures provided a richer learning environment. In line with the specific objectives of our project: -A strong environment of cultural interaction and cooperation was created among participants, which contributed to developing common solutions to environmental problems. -Through informational activities, practical work, and group studies, participants’ knowledge and skills regarding forest ecosystems, sustainability, and environmental protection were enhanced. -An inspiration and source of motivation were provided for participants to share what they learned when they returned to their own countries and to initiate environmental projects. Through our project, not only individual awareness was raised, but also young environmental ambassadors with the potential to create social change were trained. Thus, a contribution was made to the spread of environmental awareness both locally and globally.
