Objectives

The “Young Ambassadors: Do It Yourself Meeting” project was designed to encourage young people to develop their creative and practical skills, strengthen their ability to produce rather than consume, and raise awareness on sustainable living. The project originated from the need to help young people shift away from a consumption-oriented lifestyle and instead engage in designing, creating, and problem-solving through hands-on DIY activities. At the same time, the project aimed to promote the reuse of materials, environmental protection, green transformation, and recycling among young people. Through the activities implemented during the project week, participants were given the opportunity to discover their creativity, improve their technical and manual skills, gain self-confidence, and collaborate with peers from different cultural backgrounds. In this way, both their individual development and social integration were supported. The main objectives of the project were as follows: -To raise awareness among young people about the DIY (Do It Yourself) culture and encourage a culture of producing. -to enhance creativity and develop design and practical application skills. -To increase awareness on waste management, recycling, and sustainability. -To strengthen interaction, cooperation, and intercultural learning among young people from different countries. -To equip young participants with self-confidence, leadership, and problem-solving skills. -To support the social inclusion of disadvantaged young people and promote equal opportunities. -To enable young people to experience a sense of achievement and ownership by creating their own products.
