Objectives

The "Palette for the Planet" project aims to deeply engage youth in environmental advocacy through art and conducting workshops on sustainability. These initiatives are designed to educate participants on environmental issues, foster sustainable living, and demonstrate the power of art as a tool for social change. The workshops will provide hands-on learning opportunities, enhancing participants' understanding of ecological issues and their skills in using art to communicate messages of environmental responsibility. This comprehensive approach aims to raise awareness, encourage community involvement, and inspire action towards a more sustainable future. Through interactive workshops focused on sustainability, participants will learn about practical ways to live more sustainably. These workshops will cover topics such as recycling, reducing waste, and other eco-friendly practices, aiming to instill habits that participants can carry forward into their daily lives. Testing of innovative practices to prepare learners, staff, and youth workers to become true agents of change, focusing on resource conservation, energy use reduction, waste minimization, and opting for sustainable food and mobility choices. Incorporate a segment dedicated to discussing the European Green Deal, its implications, and its importance. This will be achieved through debates, simulations of EU Parliament discussions, or other participatory activities that allow young people to explore and critically engage with the content. This will also address the gap in knowledge regarding the Green Deal among the youth, making them more informed citizens and advocates for environmental policies.
