Objectives

Volunteering is the act of an individual supporting a social initiative or activities within a Civil Society Organization (CSO) without expecting any financial reward or other personal gain, solely because they believe it is the right thing to do, with the goal of improving the quality of life of people outside their family or close circle, or because it is generally beneficial to society. Volunteers help to empower and enhance society by sharing their knowledge, skills, and abilities with civil society groups and social enterprises. Volunteers prioritize the benefit of the community. The important aspect of volunteering is that individuals labor toward a goal completely out of their own willingness. They can give to a variety of causes and situations, including the homeless, refugees, persons with disabilities, women, children, street animals, and the environment, and participate in change. Although people may not expect to gain anything from volunteering, the most valuable rewards they receive are the skills they learn. As previously stated and anticipated, volunteer activities provide significant benefits to both individuals and society. Individuals benefit from becoming more sensitive to people and the environment, as well as developing teamwork, motivation, leadership, and communication skills. When it comes to the benefits of volunteering for individuals, it is also seen as societal solidarity in addition to individual assistance, and volunteering is an essential component for the healthy growth of society. Volunteering has a substantial impact on the development of interpersonal connections, the formulation of value judgments, the increase of social consciousness and entrepreneurship, and the presenting of various solutions to social problems. Our project was inspired by the low percentage of volunteerism among young people in our country. As members of the youth group, we have grown in many ways as a consequence of our involvement in volunteer activities.
