Objectives

Empowerment of Visually Impaired Individuals: The primary goal is to empower visually impaired individuals by providing them with access to valuable information and resources through podcasts. By enhancing their knowledge of disaster preparedness and terminology, the project aims to increase their self-confidence and resilience in navigating emergency situations. Inclusion and Participation: The project aims to promote the inclusion and active participation of visually impaired individuals in society. By equipping them with essential disaster awareness skills, the project fosters their ability to engage meaningfully in community activities and decision-making processes. Skill Development: Through the creation of podcast series on disaster preparedness, the project facilitates skill development among visually impaired individuals. These skills include effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, which are essential for personal growth and social integration. Cross-Cultural Exchange: The project facilitates two youth exchanges between Turkey, France, and Macedonia, providing an opportunity for young people to engage in cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration. By interacting with peers from different backgrounds, participants develop intercultural competencies and broaden their perspectives on disability rights and inclusion. Advocacy and Awareness: By raising awareness about the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals and promoting their rights, the project contributes to advocacy efforts within the youth work field. Through public outreach and educational initiatives, the project advocates for greater accessibility and inclusivity in society. Overall, the "Sesin İzi" Project aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for visually impaired individuals, while also fostering the personal and professional development of young people involved in youth work practice.
