When we created the YouthInnoSport project, our main goal was to use the common values and skills found in sports and entrepreneurship as an effective learning tool for young people. The project took place in Kilimli, Zonguldak, between 13–20 February 2026. We aimed to help young people from different countries discover how skills gained through sports, such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, motivation, and resilience, can be used in entrepreneurship. We wanted to show that sport is not only a physical activity but also a strong tool for personal and professional development. One of the main objectives of the project was to develop an entrepreneurial mindset among participants and help them gain skills needed in working life. Today, youth unemployment is still an important issue in many European countries. For this reason, we focused on improving participants’ problem-solving, creative thinking, decision-making, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Through practical activities, group tasks, and case studies, participants learned how to turn problems into opportunities and create innovative solutions. Another important goal was to make the connection between sports and entrepreneurship more visible. We wanted participants to understand that success in both fields requires similar skills. During the project, participants took part in teamwork activities, sports sessions, entrepreneurship workshops, and role-play exercises. These activities helped them learn and experience the importance of strategic thinking, goal setting, risk management, resilience, and cooperation in both sports and entrepreneurship. The project also aimed to strengthen intercultural learning and international cooperation. Young people from different cultural backgrounds came together to share their experiences, learn about different perspectives, and work on common tasks. This process increased their awareness of cultural diversity and supported the development of mutual understanding, tolerance, and solidarity. In addition, raising awareness about the Erasmus+ Programme, Youthpass, and international opportunities for young people was one of the project objectives. Participants had the chance to experience non-formal learning methods and discover how they can use the knowledge and skills they gained in their personal and professional lives.
