Our main aim in implementing this project was to deepen the understanding of the role of migrants in international relations and development, and to create a structured platform where these topics could be discussed collectively with young participants. Through seminars focusing on migration, development, diaspora engagement and global mobility, we intended to increase participants’ knowledge of these issues from political, social and economic perspectives. Another core objective was to encourage participants to actively reflect on these themes. Therefore, we designed group work sessions, interactive discussions and presentation activities where participants could express their ideas, compare different viewpoints, and collaboratively analyse real-life cases. By combining expert-led seminars with participatory workshops, our objective was to help young people critically engage with questions such as: How do migration and diaspora communities contribute to development? What roles do migrants play in shaping international relations? How can cultural diversity be used as a source of strength and cooperation? Overall, the project aimed not only to provide theoretical knowledge, but also to empower participants to form informed opinions, develop policy-oriented thinking skills, and strengthen their intercultural understanding.
