Objectives

The aim of the project on the economic burdens of the climate crisis was to raise awareness among young people about the climate law adopted in our country in July 2025. Another important aim of the project was to help participating young people and their relatives acquire sustainable behaviors to combat the economic burdens of the climate crisis. For this reason, we conducted workshops in education groups from high school to university and beyond. We provided training to more people than the official number of participants (150). Mutual learning took place. The project was also widely covered in local and national media. The goals and objectives of our project were as follows: 1. Awareness of the economic burdens of the climate crisis: Our project aimed to create awareness among participants about the climate crisis and its economic burdens. It was very successful in this regard. 2. Providing detailed learning about the climate crisis: To equip participants with more detailed information about the climate crisis and to aim to reduce the climate crisis with sustainable rational gains. 3. Disseminating Information and Awareness: Through the project guide and policy document we created, our project aimed to inform not only the participants but also their environment, NGOs and institutions in the participating provinces about the project, and the national press also helped in this regard. 4. Personal Development: As part of the project, young participants increased their self-confidence, improved their learning skills, their use of digital tools, and their digital literacy skills. 5. Active Citizenship: By actively participating in every stage of the project, participants developed active citizenship skills such as problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork. In this regard, young participants became more aware by asking questions to decision-makers at Fırat University, Burdur Provincial Directorate of National Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Trade. 6. European Union Values: Our project also served to disseminate the citizenship values of the European Union to the participants. 7. Information and Documentation: Participants learned about Erasmus+ youth projects and had the opportunity to document the skills they gained with the Youthpass certificate.
