Objectives

We want to carry out "Erünal Discovers the EU project" so that our Erünal Social Sciences High School Youth Club students, most of whom are young people with limited opportunities, can learn the cultural heritage and history of Europe, get to know different cultures and realize the value of cultural diversity. With this project, our disadvantaged young people will discover Europe safely at an early age, get to know it culturally, experience their European consciousness and identity first-hand, and continue this awareness in their future lives. It is planned to achieve the following goals with our project: - With the project budget, young people with limited opportunities will have the opportunities that their peers do not have, and they will be able to travel safely within the EU with guidance and leadership support by covering their travel expenses from the project budget. - With the project, young people who have no previous travel experience and cannot travel within the EU will be able to get to know their own and European culture, - They will be able to consider life in Europe as an option in their future life decisions and career choices, - They will develop a European awareness and a sense of belonging to Europe, - They will observe the European cultural heritage with their own first-hand experiences by visiting iconic places and viewing works of art in private museums, - They will realize cultural diversity and continue their lives aware of the value of this diversity, - They will improve their foreign language skills while traveling with real-life experiences, - They will overcome their fear of foreigners by meeting and communicating with people from different cultures while traveling, - They will step out of their comfort zone and accept the travel experience as a learning experience, - Being aware of the concept of sustainable travel, they will travel by making choices within the concept of green travel in daily life, - They will gain detailed information about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Program to young people, their motivation to take part in different activities will increase, and they will increase the gains of the project by informing the young people around them about the opportunities. In addition to the gains in terms of participants, our project will also achieve gains in terms of social integration of young people with limited opportunities, the goals of our institution, and cultural dialogue and diversity. With our project, the social inclusion process of young people with limited opportunities will be supported. We will have taken another effective step in the journey of achieving our goals in gaining and developing 21st century skills through transnational cooperation in the education and training process, which is one of the strategic goals of our institution. In addition, the relationships our young participants established during their EU journey, their experiences and cultural dialogues with people from different cultures will support the development of the cultural bridge between our country and the EU.
