Objectives

The primary motivation for implementing this project was to strengthen European awareness among young people, foster cultural exchange, and contribute to the development of a sense of European citizenship. We believed that enabling young people to go beyond the borders of their own countries and explore Europe’s diverse cultures, histories, and heritage would provide significant value to their personal and social development. Therefore, throughout the project, we aimed to offer participants the opportunity to experience Europe’s cultural richness and to better understand the principle of unity in diversity. In addition, an essential dimension of the project was to support young people’s interest and potential in the field of game development. Although the game development sector is rapidly growing and increasingly important, requiring creative thinking, digital skills, teamwork, and entrepreneurial abilities, young people still face a lack of information and limited access to this field. For this reason, the project aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to observe European game companies, interact with professionals, and take part in real development processes, thereby enhancing their technical and creative capacities. Accordingly, the objectives of the project were to: increase young people’s awareness of Europe, promote intercultural learning and mutual understanding, strengthen the sense of European citizenship, support young people’s skills in game development, facilitate their access to sectoral career opportunities, and enhance their motivation and creative potential. Throughout the project, we approached these objectives with an integrated framework combining both cultural and professional learning. Our intent was to ensure that young participants gained a deeper and more sustainable understanding of Europe’s diversity as well as the dynamics of the digital creative industries.
