There is a huge lack of such opportunities available to Roma youth. They are always somehow on the periphery and do not have equal opportunities with their peers. Many Roma youth have never left Sliven and have not had the opportunity to travel and develop. This project also aims to address the specific needs of some of our direct beneficiaries: we meet many young people of Roma origin who are interested in new opportunities, travel, European programs, and development opportunities. We have direct access to young people from the Roma neighborhood of Hope and there are always more people willing than there are places available. This is why we would like to be able to provide the project "Leaving no one behind" to our target group. Recognizing the positive impact of mobility experiences on young people's personal development and career paths, and drawing on our experience of supporting young people from Roma backgrounds, Active Youth Academy would like to give young NEETs from Roma backgrounds, an opportunity to gain life experience in a way that will give them the perspective needed to develop a plan for their future, a clearer idea of what they would like to do and study, and to broaden their horizons by exploring Europe. Getting away from home, getting out of their comfort zone, getting involved in a youth project, and immersing themselves in another culture is always a source of learning and development. Moreover, young NEETs are most often in a state of lack of self-confidence and self-sabotage, which prevents them from building a vision of their future and realizing their abilities. Our experience as a youth organization has allowed us to see the impact of mobility abroad on this type of target group in terms of increased self-confidence, broadened horizons, and personal and professional development. Many young people who were in more than a difficult situation before their departure return more confident and ready to reveal the better part of themselves. This is exactly what we would like to achieve through the successful implementation of this project
