The project aimed to support innovative career guidance in VET through the use of digital storytelling as a tool for emotional communication and learner engagement. The objectives were to improve the attractiveness of VET, strengthen the digital competences of teachers and trainers, promote inclusion and equal opportunities for learners with fewer opportunities, and encourage the use of new teaching and learning methods in VET. Another important objective was to create a sustainable transnational partnership for sharing pedagogical practices, experiences and innovative approaches related to career guidance, digital education and social inclusion. The project also aimed to motivate learners to explore their professional development opportunities and become more active and confident participants in education and society.
The project was developed in response to the growing need for more innovative and inclusive approaches to career guidance in vocational education and training (VET). The partner organisations identified that learners, especially those with fewer opportunities, often need stronger motivation, emotional engagement and better understanding of career pathways in order to make informed professional choices. At the same time, VET providers needed new digital and pedagogical approaches that could increase the attractiveness of VET and respond to the changing needs of learners and the labour market. The project addressed the need for innovative career guidance methods through digital storytelling, improved digital competences of teachers and trainers, stronger inclusion and equal access for disadvantaged learners, and increased cooperation between VET organisations at European level.
