Objectives

With this project, we aim to address existing deficits and create a foundation for innovative, inclusive environmental education programs for adults in our district. These programs will target various groups and raise their environmental awareness. By developing specific educational offers, we aim to break down barriers and improve access for disadvantaged groups. Adults will be empowered in their role as role models, positively impacting the entire community.

Background

Environmental education programs in Berlin's Mitte district have so far been aimed primarily at children and adolescents. Since adults serve as role models and environmental protection also promotes health, they should be more actively involved. Their diverse needs and backgrounds require innovative, tailored approaches. The project provides an opportunity to learn from successful examples in other countries and to develop new formats to improve access for disadvantaged groups.
