Our main goal has been to promote the sharing of our common history with our students by encouraging contact with students of the same age through educational activities and physical mobility, allowing our students to overcome prejudices. This project also addresses a collective dimension of raising awareness about the values of peace and European citizenship, without economic constraints and accessible to the greatest number.
This project responds to the educational team's interest in international and multidisciplinary projects. It is part of an approach aimed at opening our school to Europe (Euroscol label) and developing partnerships with European institutions. It also addresses a regional request concerning the strengthening of ties between our region, Normandy, and Sicily, as well as our shared historical heritage. We started from the observation that our students were not familiar with their heritage and tended to focus on a more limited geographic area due to their geographic context (peninsula) and socio-economic factors (families' inability to travel and pass on a plural and European identity).
