The project was structured around several objectives that provided overall direction for the four partners throughout its implementation. The first, very general objective was to reduce farmers' energy costs. Objective 2 aimed to improve the target audience's knowledge and skills in utilizing biomass energy. Objective 3 involved developing and disseminating a comprehensive guide providing practical information on the installation and maintenance of biomass energy systems for farmers in rural areas. Objective 4 involved conducting a workshop for 16 farmers, including a site visit to a successful biomass bioenergy installation, to provide practical information and demonstrate best practices. Objective 5 involved producing a series of podcasts and videos showcasing realistic success stories and best practices from partner countries to inspire farmers to adopt biomass energy. Overall, the objectives were structured in a funnel-like fashion, progressing from the general to the specific. Overall, the objectives were achieved; some details will be presented in the description of the activities.
The aim of this collaborative project was to address the need to reduce energy costs, by and for farmers. This was a clearly identified need in each country, as recognized by the partners who had direct or indirect contact with the field. The project successfully addressed this general need through the development of a detailed practical guide, the sharing of concrete knowledge through a study tour, and the dissemination of relevant testimonials on the subject via podcasts and videos. The project thus met the farmers' need for information, particularly regarding the development of projects utilizing biomass energy (e.g., biogas digester unit).
