The main objective of the Get up and Go for mental health project was to empower young people facing fewer opportunities—particularly those from geographically, culturally, economically, and socially disadvantaged backgrounds—through active participation in non-formal learning activities. By engaging with local youth, and the wider community, the project aimed to foster civic engagement, promote European cultural understanding, and enhance visibility for Erasmus+ initiatives. A key goal was to support participants in developing the eight Youthpass competences, with a strong focus on Learning to Learn, to better equip them for the transition into higher education or employment. Additionally, the project sought to build self-confidence, cultural awareness, and a sense of active citizenship among participants. Beyond individual impact, the project aimed to strengthen partnerships between organizations and promote future international collaboration, while ensuring broad dissemination of outcomes to raise awareness of Erasmus+ and its benefits.
