This project was a piece of work which was primarily about youth empowerment and youth voice. This was a group of young people who seen a problem and wanted to make sure that the created action to change the problem. The young people had a chance to see that no matter how small they think their voice may seem, with persistence and through contacting the right people, they can make change in their world. The youth Participation piece of the project allowed the young people to show their work on a higher stage in the European Parliament and it allowed them to see that a small piece of work can make waves right through Europe if they put time and effort into it and stick with it until the end. The young people had a chance to see that representatives care what young people have to say and that they are currently creating the future that they will live in. This group of young people have made a change which could make their cuonty, country and possibly Europe a cleaner and safer place to live. This project was about the empowerment of disadvantaged young people from a small rural town on the Boarder, and this objective was fulflled without doubt. This project was about showing young people that their voice can make change and this was achieved through the installation of two Vape Recycling Bins in the town on a pilot basis with the aims of further roll out. This was an example of youth work and youth participation working at its best.
