Objectives

The main goal of our project is to transform students into "agents of change" by instilling sustainable habits integrated into their daily lives. We aimed to extend the project's achievements beyond the school boundaries, positioning our students in leading roles in civic-participatory public activities to create a wave of social awareness. Our strategic objectives are shaped by the following headings: - Sustainable Behavioral Transformation: To achieve lasting and measurable behavioral changes that reduce ecological footprints by increasing participants' environmental awareness. - Institutional Capacity and Internationalization: To address gaps in implementation between partner institutions and develop innovative methodologies in environmental education through transnational collaborations. - Training Change Agents: To enable teachers to integrate environmental education into the curriculum; to transform students into individuals who take active responsibility for climate change. - Networking and Shared Vision: To develop a common stance and a strong institutional vision against global problems by facilitating the exchange of best practices across Europe.

Background

This project was initiated with the aim of instilling sustainable habits in individuals in the areas of global warming, environment, and climate change, and limiting negative consequences starting from schools. Through this project, individuals are given the chance to take an active role in the fight against these issues. We know the importance of raising individuals with sustainable habits; the transformation of teachers and students into agents of change will be a powerful catalyst for the transformation we need. The most important need that brought together the partner organizations in this project was the need to overcome the shortcomings in experience and practice in the field of sustainability. In addition to this need, efforts were also made to address other needs such as internationalization, increasing institutional capacity, developing collaborations with transnational institutions and colleagues, developing current and different teaching methods and techniques to instill sustainable habits in individuals, and networking.
