Objectives

The T.A.L.E. Project pursued three main objectives: - it promoted an inclusive approach to education and contributed to preventing ESL by creating learning environments that ensure equal access to education and provide all students with the same opportunities to achieve academic success. - the project developed an innovative and inclusive teaching methodology based on Gamification and Digital Storytelling. This methodology was designed to support schools in addressing the educational needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), while fostering participation, creativity, and active learning. - T.A.L.E. strengthened teachers’ digital and pedagogical competences through targeted training activities, integrated with face-to-face project work and supported by learning mobility experiences hosted and carried out in Spain. These activities enabled teachers to acquire and apply innovative digital teaching methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of classroom practice. As a result, the project increased student motivation and engagement and contributed to better learning outcomes, while encouraging the adoption of inclusive and learner-centred educational approaches.

Background

For the presentation of the T.A.L.E. Project, the partners identified the need to develop a Toolkit gathering innovative methodologies based on Gamification and Digital Storytelling to promote inclusive education for students with SEN and prevent ESL. The Italian, Lithuanian and Spanish schools received guidance from Cuore in collecting good practices for the Toolkit, benefiting from a collaborative process that encouraged the exchange of expertise, the dissemination of effective methodologies and the adoption of innovative approaches to increase student engagement. All partners benefited from the project activities, developing a shared methodology for design, training, testing and creation of multimedia products tailored to each school and produced by the target students. These outputs were developed through Gamification and Digital Storytelling, using Book Creator and other digital tools that foster creativity, collaboration and digital skills. The Toolkit is a transferable and sustainable resource that can support future implementation in other schools and countries. Furthermore, the project strengthened international cooperation, promoted intercultural exchange and new opportunities for future EU partnerships and projects.
