The aim of the project was to strengthen teachers’ competences by providing them with practical methodological tools to foster students’ healthy self-esteem and self-awareness in the educational process. The project objectives were: 1. To develop an innovative methodology with practical tools and methods that teachers, school psychologists, and social pedagogues could easily apply in everyday teaching and learning activities to strengthen students’ self-esteem and self-awareness. 2. To provide teachers with methodological resources and students with knowledge about the importance of healthy self-esteem in personal life, emotional well-being, and learning, as well as ways to strengthen it. 3. To disseminate the developed methodology and project results among educational institutions and educational stakeholders in Lithuania and the Czech Republic. The project also aimed to strengthen international cooperation between partner organisations, improve teachers’ professional competences, and promote the creation of a more emotionally supportive and inclusive school environment.
The project was initiated in response to the growing need to strengthen students’ self-esteem, self-awareness, and emotional well-being in schools. Teachers from Lithuania and the Czech Republic observed that many students lacked confidence in their abilities, were afraid to express their opinions, struggled with self-presentation, and often experienced low motivation and emotional insecurity. These challenges affected not only students’ emotional health, but also their participation in learning and academic achievements. At the same time, teachers and student support specialists identified a lack of practical methodologies and tools that could help them systematically address these issues in everyday educational practice. The project aimed to respond to these needs by developing an innovative methodology based on self-knowledge and practical activities that support healthy self-esteem development among students. Through international cooperation, the project also addressed the need for professional development of teachers, exchange of good practices, and creation of high-quality educational resources adaptable in different school environments.
