Objectives

The goal of the "4 Steps for Inclusion" project is to support teenagers to become inclusive, active citizens who value diversity and contribute positively to their communities. The project addresses fundamental needs in society, particularly among teenagers. These needs include inclusion, active citizenship, and well-being. The project emphasizes activities that promote well-being like sports and forest therapy. These activities have been shown to improve mental health and resilience. Through sports and interactive activities, the project promotes inclusion, helping to break down barriers between youths from diverse backgrounds. The project also uses digital gamification and practical activities to enhance understanding of democracy and civic responsibilities. This aims to engage youths in meaningful ways. The objectives: To increase youth's soft and social skills. To promote diversity and break stereotypes. To enhance understanding of active citizenship among teenagers. To promote inclusion through sport through interactive and cooperative activities. To develop skills in digital tools, sports, and democratic participation. To foster cross-cultural understanding and cooperation. To promote volunteerism for Inclusion. To promote a healthy lifestyle through forest therapy, walking, and sports. To promote Erasmus Plus opportunities. These objectives aim to support teenagers to become inclusive, active citizens who value diversity and contribute positively to their communities. We chose the topic of inclusion for the "4 Steps for Inclusion" project because we observed several obstacles and problems within our target group that needed addressing: Many young people in our target group have not had significant opportunities to interact with diverse cultures and perspectives. This limited exposure can lead to narrow worldviews and insufficient social skills. There is a lack of understanding among teenagers about their roles in democratic processes and the importance of active citizenship. This can result in low civic engagement and weakened democratic participation. Issues like stress, anxiety, and depression are prevalent among teenagers, often exacerbated by a lack of focus on well-being and inclusive environments. Many teenagers lack opportunities to develop essential soft skills in real-world settings, which are crucial for personal and professional growth. With our project we would like to address these challenges, we aim to create more inclusive environments that empower teenagers to become active, engaged, and well-rounded citizens.
