International research and reports reveals that all though the overall knowledge about democracy are good, the democratic self confidence are decreasing among young people. According to this, anti democratic movements are rising, and the disbelief in the governments and political institutions are increasing. The need for empowering the upcoming generations in democratic competence and give them tools to meet the anti democratic movements are critical to maintain our european values and systems. If we are going to empower the young people, we need to educate the youth workers. It is essential to learn from each other, and to develop sustainable tools and structures to make an impact and a change. Our objectives are: Strengthen the competences of youth workers working with democratic participation and inclusion Getting the tools to enable and empower youth to contribute and make an impact Cooperation between the organisations Strengthen the democracy and democratic values among young people and youth workers To give participants lots of tools to use in their daily work Creating a network that can arrange youth exchanges and help other municipalities in their region to strengthen their democratic work and youth councils
